The availability and quality of Sports Infrastructure is essential for a country to achieve success in the global sports arena. Taking into account the current scenario and the need to empower the youth of its state to compete globally, the Government of Assam has laid a strong emphasis on providing world class sports infrastructure to its aspiring population. As a part of this, the government has proposed to build world-class sports complex in the state of Assam to achieve its objective.

The project objective is to develop the infrastructure of Tezpur Sports at Polo Grounds. The project highlights is addition of new 3 storied Administrative cum Multipurpose building. It has viewing gallery looking towards the field. An Indoor Sports Hall is dedicated to Badminton sports activities.
